Introduction
Virtually any scientists of the LMB can make use of the crystallisation facility.
The crystallisation facility also supports groups from other MRC institutes and Cambridge University on a regular basis (after agreeing on the purposes of the collaboration).
Emphasis is placed on training users for them to gain independence and hence be able to proceed any time a sample has been freshly prepared.
The main robots (Mosquito and dragonfly) and the corresponding protocols are duplicated for the same reason.
When crystallisation is successful. support is also given for flash-freezing crystals and preparation of pucks for shipping.
The shipping of crystals, screening and data processing are supported by the Crystallography facility (i.e. Dom Bellini, dbellini@mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk, x7839).
