Epsin 1 colocalizes with endocytic proteins in COS cells

This material is supplemental to Ford et al., "Curvature of clathrin coated pits driven by epsin" Nature, 419: 361-366 (.pdf).

Colocalisation of the wild type epsin (green) with endogenous clathrin (X22), Eps15 (Ra15), dynamin (McNiven antibody) and AP1 (100.3). The additional perinuclear staining seen with clathrin and Eps15 (but not AP2 adaptors) does not co-localise with epsin. It is likely that a different epsin isoform functions with clathrin and Eps15 pools on these intracellular compartments. Scale bar applies to all panels.

Additionally the early endosome marker EEA1 and the Golgi marker GM130 failed to colocaltize with epsin (not shown).
