Dean received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from University College London in 2005.

For his PhD research he joined Adele Marston’s lab at the University of Edinburgh to work on chromosome segregation in budding yeast. He obtained his PhD in 2010. 

Dean joined our lab as a postdoc in 2011 and is studying the special structure of the meiotic spindle in mouse oocytes.
