Subcontractor no. 2: Jens P von Kries, FMP, Berlin, Germany

Institution

The Leibniz-Institute for Molecular Pharmacology is on the Max Delbrüeck Centre campus in Berlin Buch providing open access to high throughput screening technologies and compound libraries. The facility has already served for High-Throughput-Screening in several national and European networks and has access to several libraries covering 50,000 non-redundant compounds.

Jens P von Kries and his team of scientists and technicians at FMP are involved in the development of small molecules inhibitors for SHP-2, inhibitors of c-Met induced scattering of human tumor cells (metastasis), inhibitors of c-Met activation by HGF/SF.

Profile of the Group

Jens P von KriesJens P von Kries is Head of the Screening Unit. His dissertation at the University of Hamburg was on the identification of nuclear matrix proteins. He is a post-doctoral researcher in β-Catenin and LEF/TCF interactions with W. Birchmeier’s group. He was Head of Screening in a pharmaceutical start-up (2000-2002).

Martin Neuenschwander is a post-doctoral researcher in programming software for controlling Tecan Liquid Handling Systems.

Michael Lisurek is a post-doctoral researcher with expertise in high-throughput library assembly, homology modelling, docking and structure activity relationship predictions.

Carola Seyffarth is a technician with expertise in management of high-throughput experiment organization by training in several companies.

Andreas Oder is a technician with expertise in automation of HTS-data analysis and in usage of LabChip3000.

Christoph Erdmann is a technician with expertise in High Content Screening with automated microscopes.
