Structure of HGF/SF-MET complexes
The aim of this work is to obtain high-resolution structures of HGF/SF-MET complexes. The work builds on successful expression of the relevant proteins in glycosylation-deficient hosts and in initial characterisation of the complexes by gel filtration and small angle X-ray scattering.
In order to obtain high-resolution structures by X-ray crystallography, the HGF/SF-MET complex will be characterised further by analytical ultracentrifugation and the protein fragments and conditions yielding the most stable complexe will next be used for co-crystallisation experiments using high-throughput screening technology.
