Title : The Creative and Colourful side to Autism

Category : Autism

JH: “I got my idea for the bright bold colours from looking at MRI scans of autistic brains. 30% of people with Autism have savant skills. I wanted to make the brain show all of the different kinds of savant skills that people with Autism can have. I have basically combined the scientific side and the creative side together to make the definition of Autism. My final piece also glows in the dark! And you can see this better with the UV torch provided in the dark. I did this to make the picture really stand out, in the day and the night.”

Judges comments: “I enjoyed this positive take on the condition and the graphic imagery.”
