High levels of overexpression lead to grossly enlarged perinuclear compartments These compartments colabel with M6P receptors and TGN46 but do not co-label with endogenous GM130 or lamp1 (not shown). Thus this is not a complete condensation of all compartments. We presume that this phenotype is due to a budding incompetence from the TGN.
