A 4D map of human brain temperature
Human brain temperature data were collected in males and females at three timepoints across the day (9am, 4pm, and 11pm). HEATWAVE summarises our findings and includes two videos and six interactive temperature maps. Video 1 shows which parts of the brain the temperature data were collected from at each time point. Video 2 shows how we used these data to model how human brain temperature varies hour-by-hour on a daily basis (modelled as two days’ worth of data). To view a video, please click on your chosen button below and hit the ‘play’ button (forward arrow) in the bottom left corner of the video window. The six interactive temperature maps allow you to explore the data from males and females separately, at each of the three time points. Please click and drag to explore each map in three dimensions. Please use the scroll function of your mouse to enlarge or shrink the map.
