Lucas Albacete, Post-doctoral fellow<\/h2>\n

I am originally from Andalusia, a region in the south of Spain. In 2008, I moved to Madrid where I obtained my Bachelor\u2019s degree in Biochemistry and worked as an undergraduate in groups specialising in immunology and hypoxia. In 2012, I started a PhD in membrane trafficking in Miguel Angel del Pozo\u2019s group that included a working visit to Jennifer Lippincott-Schwartz\u2019s group, where I learned state-of-the-art methods for imaging cellular dynamics. My PhD studies focussed on the role of exosomes in extracellular matrix deposition. As a result of my experience in different labs I became interested in how cells integrate environmental information in the regulation of subcellular organisation. In late 2019 I joined Simon\u2019s lab. My project aims to decipher how trafficking mechanisms respond to cellular stresses and help provide protection from these insults.<\/p>\n
