ZB: “My piece shows my perception of the teenage brain, it shows confusion, it shows how all teenagers have lots of thoughts and ideas all merged within their brain at once and it also shows how on the outside we are all the same no matter how different we are on the inside. one of my ideas was that teenagers all have the same issues and obstacles to overcome, therefore I chose to repeat the same print over and over to show this sense of similarity between brains. Another idea of mine was that the teenage brain was jam packed of ideas, creativity and pure imagination. this is why I chose to use a range of swirls. patterns and textures to show how wild a teenagers life can be throughout this critical stage of their life. ”
