Title : Ophelia

Category :

EH-C: “Teenagers are feeling more and more depressed, this picture was inspired by a painting 'Ophelia' by John Millais who was a new romanticist. Ophelia represented a tragic heroin who crumples into insanity because of the society she lived in and how she is subjected to 'sexual predators' her innocence and virtue make her susceptible to these predators. Similarly, modern day women are trying to achieve concepts of beauty that are unachievable to impress and subdue men.”

Judges comments: “Nice take on an old imagery. Not relevant to the concept.
Good expression and finish. Off topic.”
