Title : A Teenage Maze

HF: “I called my art piece ' A Teenage Maze' because when you are a teenager, it is easy to get lost and confused, drawing you to the wrong sort of people. My piece uses several different techniques, one of which I have never explored before. That technique is printing with a printer press. I designed the main image I wanted to finish with and drew it onto a card block with hot glue, once I had printed with it to the desired effect I started to draw the black maze lines over the top. Next, I drew the faces inside the maze, to give an example of what you can become. I mounted it onto black paper and smudge white chalk to make the image stand out. The smudge chalk shows what a mess growing up can be. ”
Judges comments: “A very good effort with pleasing use of colours and shades.”
