JP: “I am going to do something with a fabric hood which will help with everyday life.
It will have different components on it like sensors on either side of the hood. One will be able to tell the weather and the other one will be used to sense when an accident is going to happen. There is going to be a Google Glass type component which goes above the eye to be like a camera for your eyes. At the back of the hood in the middle of the neck will be a plug like in The Matrix; this gets information from the hood and sends it to your brain. This is going to be powered by solar panels on the top of the hood, so you don’t have to charge or put batteries in it. I am also going to create a user guide to show the user what it does and which bits do what.”
Judges comments: “I love this! A simple and very futuristic concept. Well done!! Nicely made, original design. I like that it comes with a manual. Perhaps a greater focus on invention/pop culture than neurotechnology in a medical context.”
