LMB plates are 2-drop MRC crystallisation plates (MRC96T-UVP,), which reservoirs are pre-filled with different screening kits.(final volume in reservoirs: 80 μL). The LMB plates are stored in the 10°C incubator of the protein crystallisation facility, room 1S205.
Details of the LMB plates can be found in the Table below, which can also be downloaded here Analysing results is facilitated with the LMB screen database
There are 18 LMB plates x 96 conditions = 1,728 conditions in total.18 LMB plates x 16 μL = 288 μL is the amount required for a full initial screen with the protocol "1 drop 100 nl" on the Mosquito robot.
LMB plates were prepared with great care to reduce the condensation on the inner seal. Some condensation may however still occur when conditions contain volatile reagents (notably MPD and ethanol).
