PhD Student
I completed Undergraduate Masters in Biochemistry at the University of Oxford, and over the course of my studies I became fascinated with membrane biology across domains of life. During my master’s project I focused on coordination between outer membrane of Gram-negative bacteria and the cell wall during bacterial cell division.
As a PhD student in the Baum lab, I pursue my interests in cell shape and membrane remodelling in archaea. Given the key role membrane dynamics likely played in the emergence of eukaryotic cells, I hope to study biological and biophysical factors that allowed for one of the most drastic rearrangements in cellular architecture in the history of life on Earth.
