JS: “Initially this piece was inspired by observing a child's response to food and how they represented food in their art. This then lead to a series of work combining my childhood drawings and placing them into a landscape of food illustrations. This project was inspired by artists such as Emma Dibben and Lauren Child.”
Judges comments: “A intriguing works exploring the psychological relationship between food, memory and childhood in a truly unique way. A lot of consideration had been taken about composition and materials with a clear artistic intent.”
