Title : Lost and Found
Category : The Teenage Brain
OT: “My finished art piece portrays the different words used to describe the people going through adolescence. The outline of the city landscape and the adjectives littering it, convey the confusion of when teenagers are growing up, like getting lost in an unknown location. “Sense & Sensibility” spills over underneath suggesting that under all our protective emotional exteriors, we are making a successful transaction into the permanent world of adulthood. The trees on either side of the page show our growth not only in our size but in our maturity and intelligence as well. The roots at the bottom portray our solid anchor in our childhood, which will continue to shape us for the rest of lives. The colours, black and white, help certain elements stand out but also signify the uncertainty and stress of what being a teenager can bring.”
