Title : Definition of Teenage Brain

Category : The Teenage Brain

JT: “My interpretation of the teenage brain depicts a strand of DNA surrounded by abstract colours which are blended together. I chose to use a DNA strand because in the scientific community it is thought to be the thing that defines us as humans and sets us apart from others. In the teenage brain a large section is focused on self-image and this consequently means that when we become teenagers this section of the brain is in high usage. Our society is obsessed with the idea of self-image and we feel isolated and even depressed or paranoid when we do not fit in with the norm. I chose the colours because they, I think, reflect our thoughts. As teenagers we change and thoughts can vary greatly. They can be dark or light, shown by the different shades of colour.”
