Our Dedicated Research Group
Sean Munro
Group Leader
Sean has been a group leader at the LMB since 1989, and the in his lab has addressed protein retention in the Golgi, cannabinoid receptors, protein glycosylation, doubting lipid rafts, Rab and Arf GTPases, and vesicle tethering.
Alison Gilingham
Senior Investigative Scientist
Al did a PhD at Bath University on Glut4 traffic, and over many years in the Munro lab has made numerous key findings in Golgi organisation.
Nadine Muschalik
Senior Investigative Scientist
Nadine did a PhD in Dresden on Crumbs, and postdoc on centrioles, and joined our lab to lead the projects in Drosophila.
Antonio Galindo
Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Antonio did a PhD in Madrid on endocytosis in fungi, and since joining our lab has used biochemistry and structural methods to understand the activation of GTPases.
Alex Van Vliet
Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Alex did a degree and PhD in Leuven and after a postdoc on autophagy is now addressing the role of Rab1.
Nikita Zubkov
Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Nikita studied in Moscow and Manchester, and after a PhD on protein misfolding in the ER is now studying the Golgi unknome.
Emma Stone
PhD Student
Emma studied at Sheffield University and is now doing a PhD on the intra-Golgi golgins.
Shubham Kumar
PhD Student
Shubham studied in NISER in India and is now doing a PhD on the Golgi in Drosophila neurons.
Katharine Brown
Phd Student
Katherine studied at Sheffield Universty and is now doing a PhD on retention of proteins in the Golgi.
