Our work with the Carter lab on the molecular basis of recognition of localising mRNAs is published!

We combine cryo-EM, single-molecule imaging and functional in vivo assays to reveal multiple criteria by which localising mRNAs are selected for transport by the dynein motor. You can read the paper here.

Our manuscript linking dynein-driven organelle positioning to gene expression during oxidative stress is available at bioRxiv!

David’s paper on disease-associated and serendipitous dynein mutations is published!

18th July 2024

David’s preprint is now published as a research article in JCB. The work, which was a collaboration with several groups, provides insights into the organismal and cellular effects of disease-associated mutations in dynein and reveals a non-canonical, load-related role of the motor in mitotic progression.
