Add PIP₂-containing lipid mix in drop of chlorof orm/methanol to well of buffer


Monolayer forms as solvent evaporates



Place carbon-coated EM grid on monolayer

Inject proteins underneath monolayer



Incubate at room temperature; PIP₂
recruits AP180/epsin


Remove EM grid, stain with uranyl acetate, and visualize by EM
