Images & Videos

These are images and videos collected by scientists from the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology. The images were taken using a laser scanning confocal microscope on fixed samples stained with fluorescent markers. The videos show live cell imaging using different types of research microscopes. The cells that are 'glowing' contain fluorescent or luminescent molecules, which are detected by the microscope in real time.
