The two amoebae shown here on day 272 of #LMB365 are drinking their surrounding medium by macropinocytosis and contain two different fluorescent proteins, one marking their actin ‘muscles’ and the other a membrane signal (PIP3) that guides where the actin works. These are viewed using a cutting edge light-sheet microscope built by James Manton in the LMB’s Light Microscopy Facility.
