Grant Jacobs

Grant Jacobs was a Ph.D. student in the Structural Studies Division at LMB during 1988 to 1992, doing computational studies of DNA-binding proteins. Since then he has travelled in Asia and Central Asia, returning to his home country, New Zealand. Two post-doctorates and a Research Fellow position at the University of Otago http://www.otago.ac.nz followed.

Since 2001 he has operated as an independent scientist/consultant under the label BioinfoTools http://www.bioinfotools.com on a wide range of projects. He still hopes that one day his work will take him overseas again! His current personal research interests are in proteins associated with chromatin-level control of gene expression.
