Born on this day in 1927 in Germiston, South Africa #OTD, Sydney Brenner was, jointly with Bob Horvitz and John Sulston, awarded the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine in 2002 for his discoveries concerning the genetic regulation of organ development in C. elegans
