Staff at the LMB have raised over £1,200 from their annual charity fundraiser for Mind in Cambridgeshire, a dynamic, county-wide charity that supports local people in their recovery from mental health issues, promoting wellbeing and campaigning against stigma and discrimination. This cause was chosen to complement the work being done by the LMB’s Mental Health First Aiders.

As part of the event two staff from the Charity visited the LMB to promote their “STOP Suicide” campaign. This campaign is funded by NHS England and is led by the charities Mind in Cambridgeshire, Peterborough & Fenland Mind and Lifecraft. It seeks to empower communities and individuals across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to help stop suicides by being alert to the warning signs, by asking directly about suicide and helping those who are feeling suicidal to stay safe.

The money raised was presented to the two staff by the LMB Director, Hugh Pelham.
