Day 18 of #LMB365 shows pronuclear injection of a transgenic DNA solution into a fertilised mouse egg. The egg is held in place on a pulled glass pipette by suction. The new transgenic mouse strains are used to study human diseases and potentially identify targets for treatments

Day 15 of #LMB365 is a very satisfying photo from Andrew Carter’s group @Carter_Lab in Structural Studies. In order to achieve this the tubes have been spun at very high speeds resulting in a beautiful pattern of the inner contents of cells layered on top of each other
