Artists in Residence: Home in the Service of Science

The LMB appointed 30 Bird and public works as LMB Artists-in-Residence in 2015. They worked with members of the LMB to inspire new perspectives and understanding of the LMB’s research, both amongst people at the LMB, and the general public.

As part of the Cambridge Festival of Ideas the Artists created an immersive experience piece: Home in The Service of Science. The events, which took place on 28, 29 & 30 October 2016, were a great success with over 175 attendees learning more about the research conducted at LMB through conversations with scientists who performed in this unusual art-meets-science event.
