Spread of Delta SARS-CoV-2 variant driven by combination of immune escape and increased infectivity

A new generation of detector is set to advance low energy cryo-EM

A new Quantum C100 detector, optimised for 100 keV low-energy cryo-EM, has been developed by STFC in partnership with the Rosalind Franklin Institute and LMB. Brought to market by Quantum Detectors with the aim of increasing access to cryo-EM technology, the innovative technology was developed in consultation with Richard Henderson and Chris Russo, with hands-on optimisation by Greg McMullan at the LMB.
