RNA-seq course 2020
An introduction to RNA-seq analysis using in-house software tools.
RNA-Seq is a next-generation sequencing (NGS) technique designed to quantify RNA in a biological sample. As with any NGS technique, it requires appropriate data processing and statistical analysis. In this two-part training series, we provide a brief overview of a typical RNA-seq experiment and present two LMB-designed software tools: PRAGUI and PEAT.
The PRAGUI pipeline takes raw sequencing data, trims it, aligns it to the genome and quantifies expression and differential expression. PEAT then loads this data to allow for easy and user-friendly analysis of the results.
The first video is the webinar presented on 20/08/2020. Here, we explain the features of both software tools and provide basic instructions on how to use them.
The second video is a PRAGUI practical that will take you through the process of running PRAGUI step-by-step with some test data.
